External Job Description:
Seeking an Engineer 2 with recent engineering experience in the following: Mechanical, Structural, Naval, HVAC and/or Electrical Engineer.
Candidate must also have experience in the following:
•\tExperience with AutoCAD
•\tBe proficient with the full Microsoft Office 13 suite
•\tExperience using MathCAD and/or Mat Lab.
•\tScheduling experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera
•\tCandidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential Security Clearance
The Engineer’s responsibilities will include engineering analysis, drawing development and perform ship checks on a variety of ship classes. The Engineer will be responsible for developing and reviewing drawings and providing calculations and analyses that support design requirements. The Engineer will work independently with minimal senior engineer support, perform ship checks on a variety of ship classes, explain system characteristics, and provide technical guidance to Designers. The position will require the ability to work in an office, industrial or shipboard environment, capability of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances, lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift and may require some travel 25% of the time.
Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
