PSEG is seeking an intern in our Business Performance and Improvement team in Newark, NJ.

Potential Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the execution of the annual Utility Self-Assessment and Compliance plan

  • Assist in self-assessments in (but not limited to) manual accruals, purchasing cards, commercial driver’s license, Ariba transactions, etc.

  • Analyze service entry data and present results to Distribution Team Leader

  • Support the client, on issues arising from internal or external audit reviews, testing, and/or other issues

  • Lead and/or participate in special projects as required

Required Education/Skills : The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Finance, Accounting or similar related from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Candidates must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. GPA information MUST be included on your resume for employment consideration. Because the job requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students with GPA of 3.0 staying in the NJ/NY/PA metro area for the duration of the internship and able to commute to the assigned work location. Housing, transportation, Immigration Support will not be provided with this position.

As an employee of PSE&G or PSEG Long Island, you should be aware that during storm restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions outside of your routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
