Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) is a best-in-class global HR service delivery organization of approximately 650 people, servicing the entire global population of JPMC, currently totaling over 240,000 employees worldwide, in 60 countries. HRSD provides vital services in the area of Payroll, HR Call Center (accessHR), Employee On and Off Boarding, Data Management, Benefits Administration and Project Management. The HR function is embarking on a global initiative to simplify, digitize, and integrate HR services, centered on the employee experience. This is a multi-year transformation that will involve re-defining processes to enhance talent management, recruiting, compensation, workforce management and others, while replacing several dozen HR systems that will result in more integrated and simplified HR infrastructure. As part of this initiative, the North America HRSD organization is seeking candidates to fill a lead role in their Payroll team. Incumbents selected for this new role will act in a key project role in the Payroll work stream as well as be responsible for operations/BAU work as this project transforms underlying processes and infrastructure across HR. We are seeking candidates with the skills to contribute to this significant global HR initiative and have strong interest in developing their careers through the Payroll and related disciplines.

Role Summary

The HRSD Payroll VP role will report to either the HCM Program Global Payroll Process Leader or the North America Payroll Leader. Depending on skills and experience level, the incumbent will lead, drive and/or support project areas, planning activities, design work, testing, communications and implementation activities associated with this large program. In addition, the incumbent(s) will lead and manage one or more areas within the NAMR Payroll organization, managing the transition from current state to future-state processes, systems, and work changes, while continuing to operate these areas in a way that support highest quality service delivery to over 180,000 employees.

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience to deliver in a large scale operation as well as work in a dynamic project environment, driving for results with strong collaboration skills and focus on our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead one or more areas withina large in-house North American Payroll Operation, representing that area inthe HCM Program, and ultimately transitioning into a key Lead Operations rolein BAU

  • Lead and work with teams to developproject work products including process design, business requirements, decisionsupport white-papers/presentations, data maps, solution options with detail,and other project documentation

  • Undertake research and analysis, andformulate conclusions and recommendations that contribute to and/or make designdecisions in support of future-state model for Payroll

  • Support all facets of solution andprocess development all the way through to process and system testing, final teamStandard Operating Procedures, and risk and controls to ensure future stateoperational readiness

  • Lead and work with project teammembers to make progress on all action items resulting from Payroll projectmeetings as needed

  • Partner with HR Operations andexternal contacts in all regions to solicit ideas, leverage learnings, to buildstronger more effective operations

  • Experience in Payroll, Time and/orAbsence is an definite asset; some areas of responsibility in the organizationwill require 5+ years’ experience in Payroll, Time and/or Absence

  • Experience in Accounting, Tax, andrelated disciplines is a definite asset

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
