This laboratory performs research in Oncology. The incumbent will perform basic molecular biology analysis such as DNA and RNA preparation. Research in Mouse Models of oncology. It will be necessary to work late on occasion to complete experiments.
PCR, gel electrophoresis,
Western blots and tissue culture,
incumbent will keep clear records of experimental data results.
Additional responsibilities pertain to laboratory safety, organizing supplies, research reagents, equipment maintenance, monitoring and ordering lab supplies and other related duties as required.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Some experience with cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques. Good interpersonal communication skills are required.
Mouse models of oncology preferred.
