The position is part of the Institutional Markets Lending Unit, with offices in New York and San Francisco, within Union Bank's Real Estate Industries Group. The Institutional Markets Lending Unit focuses on secured project financing as well as lending to public and private REIT’s and Institutional Funds with a national focus. Loans consist of senior mortgages, bridge, construction, and unsecured revolvers and term loans to such clients. Position will include learning the Bank’s various systems and maintaining data integrity.
Manage a team of underwriters/portfolio managers based in NY.
Ability to lead group-wide projects.
Team leader may additionally manage a small number of loans.
Must become well versed on credit policies and procedures.
Demonstrates deep industry knowledge, including structuring transactions and reviewing legal documents.
Generally 10-15 years of relevant working experience or demonstrated ability to perform at a high level.
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
