NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Senior Research Scientist in New York, New York

New York University is recruiting a Senior Research Scientist with expertise in data

science to work in the newly-formed NYU Center for Human Brain Science. NYU

Center for Human Brain Science studies the human brain from a patient-centered

perspective using approaches from systems neuroscience and neural engineering. The

successful candidate will be involved in several multi-year Initiatives that focus on

understanding brain dynamics using invasive recording and stimulation technologies in

the human brain.

Responsibilities include developing software infrastructure and tools for large-scale data

processing of electrical recordings from the human brain, developing and implementing

real-time brain-machine interface experiments, using modern statistical techniques for

machine learning and neural decoding, providing technical support to faculty and

affiliated personnel, and supporting the preparation and submission of grant

applications and research publications.
