Advertised Summary Job Description We are seeking a Research Assistant in the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain. Primary responsibilities will include neuroimaging data analysis for ongoing studies involving cognitive aging and dementia. To this end, the RA will implement existing neuroimaging analysis protocols; refine existing neuroimaging software; manage data transfer and data storage; and work with investigators in the integration of structural and behavioral data. In addition to these duties, there are opportunities for participation in seminars, case conferences, and manuscript preparation/co-authorship.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant The applicant should have proficiency in the use of Linux, MATLAB, and Python.
Preferred Qualifications Background in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, math, physics, neuroscience, or a related field is helpful, but not strictly required. Specific background in neuroimaging is a plus, including experience with neuroimaging software (FSL, SPM, FreeSurfer) and knowledge of image viewing software are preferred.
Master's degree preferred.
