A Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available immediately for a highly motivated candidate to help develop gene-expression based approaches for biological radiation dosimetry, and to study the impact of different radiation modalities (dose, dose-rate, LET, organ-specific effects). The current project also includes study of the contribution of senescence to radiation lung injury in mouse models. Our laboratory is in the Center for Radiological Research (crr.columbia.edu) in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Upper Manhattan. We also work very closely with physicists at the Radiation Research Accelerator Facility (www.raraf.org/) located in Westchester County, upstate New York.
