The commerce pendulum is quickly swinging back to retail as online channels become increasingly difficult to acquire profitable customers. Several breakout brands have built their own retail capabilities and infrastructure internally to execute their offline strategy ? but this comes with significant expense and time. What if there was an approach for a brand to execute and scale retail with little to no risk while also not having to build the corporate competencies?
The Retail Recruiting Manager role is a unique opportunity to work directly with our VP, Retail Operations and Retail Operations team to create a scalable retail hiring program spanning across multiple brands of tomorrow ? leaders among the latest generation of high growth consumer brands, with killer value propositions and passionate fans. Reporting directly to our VP of Retail Operations, you will develop the retail hiring process to empower our Field Leaders to hire the best talent in our existing stores and New Store Openings. You will work with partners to ensure we are strategically pipelining and sourcing the right candidates. In leveraging your existing retail network, you will be responsible for finding great candidates though direct outreach and networking to fill Field Team roles, including Store and Regional Leaders.

Hiring Process: Strategize and partner with VP, Retail Operations to create process geared toward empowering our Store Leaders to source, effectively interview, and staff our stores proactively to build the best team in retail.
Partner with VP, Retail Operations to leverage current hiring methodology and create a process to rollout to our Field Leaders
Collaborate with the Retail Training Manager to establish hiring process training modules to fully educate and enable our Field Teams
Play a key role in talent evaluation and interview effectiveness by serving as 1st and 2nd interview for Field Leadership roles
Partner with Retail Operations team to create program for JazzHR to create exciting job posts to attract the right talent and ensure posts are up to date and maintained
Partner with Retail Operations team to train Field Team when staffing expectations are not being met
Talent Pipelining: Lead recruiting efforts to build a proactive pipeline of candidates for
our existing and upcoming markets utilizing personal network and outreach.
Personally recruiting and locating quality candidates for our key roles
Leverage existing relationships to help us build a broad network of candidates to ensure we can hire in each of our markets through fairs, partnerships, etc.
Partner with VP, Retail Operations to understand and prepare for upcoming Field Leadership positions due to turnover or internal promotions to proactively backfill
Partner with NSO Manager to understand and prepare for NSO roles and source candidates for upcoming retail expansion
Talent Tracking: Strategize and partner with our VP, Retail Operations to implement talent tracking to ensure involved parties are aware of hiring needs to allow time to source the best candidates.
Drive creation and implementation for a system to track and communicate existing store staffing, and current and future needs
Provide weekly reporting to Leadership team and highlight where additional resources may be needed proactively
Qualifications, Key Competencies & Attributes for Success:
4-6 years of retail recruitment, partnership and / or stores experience, with a demonstrable track record of success in landing great candidates personally, with proven success around building top performing teams
Highly proficient in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring selection
Strong project management and coordination skills
Strong grasp of retail and e-commerce landscape
Strong cross team and functional collaboration
Strong teamwork, management and leadership skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Extreme attention to detail and strong ability to operate ?in the weeds? without losing sight of the big picture
