Kelly Services External Affairs Coordinator for Outreach and Events in New York, New York

Job Description

Our client a globally diverse organization is looking for an External Affairs Coordinator for Outreach & Events. The Coordinator supports the outreach by the External Affairs team in NY to the diplomatic community,multilateral organizations and other relevant stakeholders, including through planning and overseeing events. The Coordinator cultivates positive long-term relationships with all event stakeholders and seeks to consistently improve event execution with the objective of developing new relationships and strengthening existing ones.

Candidates with Diplomatic/Government Community event planning experience are strongly preferred

Requirements

Specific duties

\tResearch and stay up to date current political, economic and social affairs.

\tPropose trending topics for future program events.

\tIdentify stakeholders for potential outreach and their areas of interest

\tDevelop and maintain contact with working level representatives of the diplomatic community, multilateral system, business, academia, and civil society.

\tIdentify keynote speakers on a variety of topics

\tBuild and strengthen relationships with stakeholders

\tKeep track of event including invitees, attendees, vendors and budget, among others.

\tCoordinate event logistics, including registration, supporting materials and room setup, among others.

\tCollaborate with internal and external partners on concept notes, invitation letters

\tOther outreach activities aiming at developing and strengthening partnerships.
