Summary Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, independent but team-oriented Associate Research Scientist with experience in mouse models and knowledge of immunology concepts and assays. With projects spanning autoimmunity and tolerance, the candidate will work with the PI to set priorities and research goals. Afterwards, the candidate will be responsible for experimental design and execution, data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation. It is essential that the candidate work independently but collaboratively, communicate effectively (both orally and in writing), have the capacity to multi-task while maintaining precision, and be detailed oriented. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to serve as a mentor to technicians, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. The competitive applicant should have a PhD in Immunology (or Cell and/or Molecular Biology), extensive experience with transgenic mouse models and flow cytometry

Minimum Degree Required

Ph.D. / M.D in Immunology. or both

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent academic degree within the relevant field of study.

Eligible candidates must have the following qualifications: a doctoral degree in Immunology (or Cell and/or Molecular Biology), extensive experience with transgenic mouse models and flow cytometry. A record of independent and collaborative research; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

A strong preference will be given to candidates with a broad knowledge with transgenic mouse models and flow cytometry.
