KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join ourpractice.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate and foreign national employees

  • Support global payroll and tax compliance process, reporting/sourcing and tax reporting, shadow payroll/modified payroll structures, and filing process

  • Review payroll reporting, withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including actual compensation statements

  • Assist in conducting tax research

  • Draft correspondence with IRS or state taxing authorities in relation to tax notices and/or audits for expatriates

  • Write correspondence and communicate in Japanese/Korean and English for companies with expatriate employees

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience working with tax, preparing tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate and foreign national employees; HR international assignment compensation and payroll experience is a plus; Experience working within a Big 4 firm is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

  • Business level Japanese/Korean and English with good writing skills, native in at least one language is required

  • Strong technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and critical thinking skills with the ability to execute on the details

  • Self-motivated, driven, with ability to work independently as well as work as team

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and able to work with various levels of management
