KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join ourpractice.
Prepare tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate and foreign national employees
Support global payroll and tax compliance process, reporting/sourcing and tax reporting, shadow payroll/modified payroll structures, and filing process
Review payroll reporting, withholding for wages paid to expatriate employees for accuracy including actual compensation statements
Assist in conducting tax research
Draft correspondence with IRS or state taxing authorities in relation to tax notices and/or audits for expatriates
Write correspondence and communicate in Japanese/Korean and English for companies with expatriate employees
Minimum of one year of relevant experience working with tax, preparing tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate and foreign national employees; HR international assignment compensation and payroll experience is a plus; Experience working within a Big 4 firm is a plus
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
Business level Japanese/Korean and English with good writing skills, native in at least one language is required
Strong technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and critical thinking skills with the ability to execute on the details
Self-motivated, driven, with ability to work independently as well as work as team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and able to work with various levels of management
