Summary Description: The Department of Medicine and Division of Hematology/Oncology are inviting applications from highly qualified junior and/or midcareer physician scientists (Board certified or eligible for Hematology and Oncology) at the Instructor/Assistant or Associate Professor level for the expanding NonĀ­ Malignant Hematology Program at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). The Non-Malignant Hematology program is seeking to recruit new faculty members with strong clinical skills and an interest in developing or continuing clinical and/or translational research programs. The Non-Malignant Hematology program at CUMC under the leadership of Dr. David Diuguid is undergoing a major expansion, the development of a Center for Hemostasis and Thrombosis, as well as a Center for the management of Hemoglobinopathies in adults. This position is an ideal opportunity for an established or developing researcher to access the medical center's large population of patients with diverse non-malignant hematologic diseases.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical care of patients and to contribute to the academic mission of the program in terms of clinical, translational and/or basic research as well as to participate in teaching and administrative responsibilities specific to Non-Malignant Hematology.

Minimum Degree Required: M.D. or equivalent medical professional degree

Minimum Qualifications:

All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in internal medicine and Hematology/Oncology and must be eligible to practice in the State of New York.
