Summary Description: The NewYork Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center Structural Heart & Valve Center seeks an outstanding non-invasive Cardiologist to join our team as a Structural/Interventional Echocardiographer. The is an Assistant Professor level position at the busiest Structural Heart program in the United States.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Echocardiographic guidance of complex structural heart interventions

  • Peri-procedural diagnostic TEE and TTE

  • Inpatient rounds on a busy structural heart clinical service

School/Institute/Unit: Physicians and Surgeons, College of

Minimum Degree Required: M.D. or equivalent medical professional degree

Minimum Qualifications:

All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and must be eligible to practice in the State of New York.

Level III training in echocardiography is a prerequisite for the position.

The ideal candidate must have broad echo skills, be able to work cooperatively with the existing strong and dynamic physician group, and will have experience and interest in clinical research.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong preference for Cardiologists with at least an additional year of imaging training with significant Structural component.
