We are searching for an Account Manager to join our team. This person can be located in either New York or Philadelphia.

The Account Manager (AM) role for the WK Ad Sales team would be responsible for the management of sales and relationships with clients within the neurology and possibly other key specialty area portfolios. The AM maintains the company's existing relationships with a client or group of clients, so that they will continue utilizing WK for their product and services (P&S) needs -- print, digital, and custom offerings. The AM does not manage the daily operation and/or management of the account.

They manage the day-to-day relationship with the client account(s) they are assigned to, which includes production, price quotes, and other administrative functions. Ideally, a client across multiple portfolios will remain with one AM for account consistency. The AM will serve as the interface between customer service and the sales team in a company.

Since the AM is assigned specific existing client accounts, this is to create long term relationships within the ad sales team. The AM serves to understand the customer's demands, plan how to meet these demands, and assist in developing proposals and/or new concepts to help generate sales for the individual WK Ad sales portfolios.

The AM's responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. This person will also answer client queries, interact with production daily, and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. Additionally, the AM will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Production, Projects, Customer Service, Product Development, and Sales departments) to improve the entire customer experience. This position will require 10-25% travel.

This person should be able to navigate within a CRM system, have great client communication and understand the healthcare advertising industry are important in this role. We are looking for an enthusiastic, team-player, who is ambitious, organized and detail oriented are critical in this role.

Ultimately, a successful AM should collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales goals while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services in the long-run.

Additional duties include:

  • Ability to grow current business and forge strong relationships with clients through consistent contact to determine advertising needs and by evaluating competitive activity to grow revenues and share of market

  • Manages print/digital/custom advertising sales efforts for designated journals, websites and related products

  • Complete understating of digital advertising to sell banner ads, targeted programs, eNewsletters, microsites, custom email campaigns, video and other digital products

  • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate online/digital metrics to clients

  • Ensure client campaign deliveries and complete follow-through activities

  • Utilizes Phone/Email/CRM (Salesforce) to effectively prospect and continue progression of sales or new sales with current clients

  • Develop and execute multi-channel, in-depth integrated proposals and programs leveraging the company's print, digital and online assets

  • Maintains clear and consistent communication with Portfolio Manager, National Account Manager, e-Media Coordinator, and Production Coordinator, regarding sales performances and market trends

  • Additional duties include bi-weekly forecasting of pending sales, work closely with National Account Managers to continue sale, assist with society and other status reports, monitoring market conditions, and work with the team on cross channel sales packages by leveraging the company's content and brands.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree of equivalent of work experience.

Minimum of 3 years account management experience within the digital advertising space, 5+ years overall account experience, preferred.

  • Experience with rich media platforms such as DoubleClick, Celtra, etc.

  • Excellent communication (both written & oral) and presentation skills.

  • Ability to maintain and/or develop client relationships.

  • Solid time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A solid eye for detail when proofing and QA-ing.

  • Must be familiar with Windows, MS Office, and CRM.

  • Experience in healthcare marketing/publishing a plus.
