Due to the continued growth of our Consulting Practice, we are currently interviewing Staff Tax Consultants for our Forensic, Litigation and Valuation Service Practice, to be based in our New York, NY office.
Our FLVS Practice delivers solutions to law firms and corporate clients in key areas including:
Fraud & white collar crime
Intellectual property infringement
Complex commercial litigation matter
Bankruptcy litigation matters

Prepare tax returns for individuals and flow though entities for a variety of small to medium sized client.
Provide tax compliance services to attorneys representing individuals, partnerships, and S-corporations, for a variety of small to middle market clients, directly reporting to a senior manager and partner.
Participate in tax research projects for clients, and research a wide range of tax issues related to business and individual transactions for entities and their affiliates.
Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the tax team for consideration.
Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the tax team to provide superior client service.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent, 150 credits to sit for the CPA exam required. Master’s Degree, MST or other applicable advanced degree a plus.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a professional services firm providing tax compliance or tax advocacy services.
Experience preparing individual tax returns and flow through entities.
Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required.
CPA or CFE highly desired.
Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required.
Relevant skills in project execution with hands on experience in the full life-cycle of a project and excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills.
Flexibility to travel to client site as needed and ability to work beyond core business hours for client engagements.
