POSITION SUMMARY: The Reimbursement Manager is responsible for GME Time Studies, assisting in the preparation of Annual Cost Reports and DSH reporting, GME, as well as analytics around these functions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree. Master's, preferred.

Experience:

Five (5) years in healthcare cost reporting preparation (Medicare and Medicaid). Experience in healthcare accounting.

License/Certification:

CPA, preferred.

Skills: Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, graphics, etc. Good verbal and written skills.

POSITION DUTIES:

  • Responsible for working with both medical schools regarding required GME Time Studies and providing analysis to Cost Report consultant.

  • Assists with annual cost report preparation.

  • Assists with DSH reporting requirements.

  • Works with the Finance department to ensure the accurate recording of all transactions related to Gross Revenue, Revenue Deductions, Bad Debt, Patient Accounts Receivable, and Settlement Receivables and all preparation of all the schedules related to the above mentioned transactions during the month end close process.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of the data processing system as it relates to the Accounting and Patient Accounting Departments.

  • Demonstrates analytical and interpretative skills in analyzing financial statements and reports.

  • Together with Cost Report Consultants, ensures timely filing of all the cost reports, GME reimbursement applications, DSH reports, and any other regulatory requirements.

  • Assists in the budget and forecasting preparation related to net revenue.

  • Coordinates the completion of audit schedules for revenue, revenue deductions, patient accounts receivable and settlement receivables requested by the audit firm to ensure accuracy and timely completion.

  • Serves as a resource to the Controller/CFO and other members of the team and assists with special projects as needed.
