Job Description

Responsibilities • Responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets and consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory. • Effectively address existing gaps in HCP education and knowledge to accelerate HIV prevention care management where high risk has been identified. • Drive proactive risk assessments for appropriate patient identification, drive increased education and knowledge for HIV prevention strategies. • Focus on the timely delivery of HIV disease awareness information, clinical updates on HIV prevention and education on the prevention of HIV. • Responsible for establishing strong working relationships with healthcare practices, Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers (FQHC) and AIDS Service Organizations (ASO). • Ability to synthesize complex clinical concepts to appropriate literacy and conceptual levels for diverse audiences. • Develops key account strategies to engage customers in appropriate clinical settings • Leads physician and allied healthcare initiatives within the context of assigned accounts • Effectively manages program budget • Provides appropriate communication and teamwork to ensure the Gilead team collectively implements account plans to achieve collective objectives • Coordinates with HIV Sales, HIV Community Liaison, National Account Managers, Marketing, Medical Scientists and other internal Gilead team members on appropriate cross-functional projects

Background • Possess strong presentation and communications skills and a proven record of interacting with healthcare professionals. • Proven expertise in building relationships and influencing. • Must set high goals and standards of performance and be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy. Possess superior selling skills honed in highly competitive markets.

Specific Education and Experience Requirements • 4+ relevant years of experience in pharmaceutical sales • Experience in HIV marketplace is preferred with Advocacy, Community and National Health systems and services is preferred • Demonstrated success in coalition building and cross-functional leadership • Must have experience in the successful development of external relationships leading to brand advocacy • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple priorities • Demonstrated knowledge of or prior experience working in or with community-based organizations is desired • Ability to influence and align diverse groups • Excellent communications skills with an ability to efficiently communicate both orally and in writing
