Position Summary:

The Supervisor will direct employees to effectively plan, organize, budget, direct, control and lead Transmission system and asset monitoring engineering capital project activities. The Supervisor will provide technical guidance and leadership for Transmission system and asset monitoring assigned activities. These activities will include asset health monitoring project execution, asset health monitoring vendor management, asset health monitoring hardware installation and issue resolution, asset health monitoring software installation and issue resolution, asset health monitoring data aggregation, and asset health data analysis. This position is intended to serve as a first level supervisor of engineering and planning activities.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • EEnEnEESupervise and direct employees engaged in Transmission system and asset monitoring engineering installations, capital monitoring projects, vendor planning, technical software testing and implementation, hardware testing and implementation, and issue resolution with the field.

  • Perform engineering activities, and provide tehcnical guidance and direction to assigned staff as required.

  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with the policies, practices, standards, and rules of the Company and regulations and procedures as required by federal, state or local regulating agencies.

  • Clearly define performance expectations and review and reward job performance within the organization to align individual performance with business goals, Develop employees to reach their potential and help establish plans to set and achieve challenging career goals.

Minimum Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET* accredited institution; degree preference is in ELECTRICAL , Mechanical or Civil engineering or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology in a program accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

*ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Acceptable alternatives are (1) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or (2) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.


Typically has acquired five (5) or more years' experience in Transmission engineering, construction or operations, or other equivalent related experience such as Distribution or Generation engineering, construction or operations experience.

Demonstrated leadership ability to effectively supervise and direct the work of assigned personnel and the ability to effectively and professionally deal with co-workers and customers is required. Professional Engineer (PE) license desired, and may be required in some areas of the company depending on the job responsibilities specific to the organizational unit to which assigned.

Preferred Other Experience:

A Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

One of more years of supervision or managing large projects is desired along with experience in vendor management.
