Job Description

Kepro is looking for a Director/VP, Data Management. This role directs all organization-wide Data Management (DAMA-DMBOK2) activities and has the responsibility for improving the quality, managing and protection of sensitive data and information assets, data reporting. The position will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data management/governance framework for data policies, standards and practices, both at the department, business and functional areas level, to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee an enterprise data management roadmap, data governance, data quality management (DQM), Information Architecture, MDM/Reference data management and data operations

  • Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning

  • Develop and implement data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise

  • Build and manage data integrations among internal and external systems

  • Define roles and responsibilities related to overall data management and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets

  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements

  • Coordinate external/internal data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the data quality

  • Responsible for Data presentation as delivery of reports to internal and external customers

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive team leadership and management of data focused teams with a proven track record of inspiring and leading teams through transformation

  • At least 10 years hands-on experience in multiple data technologies and processes such as MDM, data architecture, data modeling, data governance, data quality

  • Experience in data integration technologies and operations

  • Experience leading / driving a Data Governance programs

  • Depth in data quality management (DQM) vision, processes and tools

  • Deep knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and tools strongly preferred

  • Deep knowledge of data mastering and reference data management principles (MDM processes such as match-merge, data collection and publish issues)

  • Knowledge of big data tools and architectures a plus (i.e. Hadoop, Data Lakes).

  • Experience with latest Data presentation tools such as Tableau, Business Objects etc.

  • Experience with MDM tools

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred.

  • Willing to roll up sleeves when needed
