Robert Half Management Resources of Nashville is currently seeking candidates for Controller opportunities in various industries including but not limited to: Manufacturing, Financial Services, Healthcare, Consumer Goods, and Distribution. Controllers must possess solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). For our clients that are publicly traded - required knowledge of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

Typical Responsibilities Include: Planning, directing and coordination all accounting operational functions Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements Coordinating activities of external auditors Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process Managing the budget process Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendation for improvements and implementing new processes Evaluating accounting and internal control systems Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed Developing and monitoring business performance metrics Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance

Requirements

Accounting Qualification (ACA / ACCA/ CIMA / CPA) or Equivalent Financial and Accounting qualification? Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI 8+ years detailed accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance? Working knowledge of mid to large ERP? Ability to manage, lead change?and build?process improvements Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity Experience engaging with virtual global teams and providing leadership across finance teams Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills Excellent communication and negotiation?skills with?experience in establishing trusted advisor/consultant relationships and?proven ability to influence Executives and Business Decision Makers
