Job Description:

3M is seeking a Risk Program Manager – Systems, Vendors & Tools Assessment for the Health Information Systems Division located in Murray, UT, Silver Spring, MD or Pittsburgh, PA

Primary Responsibilities:

The Risk Program Manager – Systems, Vendors & Tools Assessment partners with IT groups, business groups, and project teams to perform security risk analysis and compliance assessments for applications, infrastructure, and vendor / third party implementation. This technical and business-focused individual will also support the review of technical security requirements, and will support the review, approval and tracking of security exceptions and remediation.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple Risk Assessments (3rd Party PHI Tools, System Risk Assessments, Vendor Implementation Security, Open Source Software) and other related projects in fast-paced environments

  • Perform security risk analysis and compliance assessments as necessary in accordance with industry "best practice" to deliver comprehensive, contextualized, actionable information

  • Affirm and advance various stakeholder's understanding of, and their responsibilities with respect to, the Security Frameworks related to HITRUST, NIST and HIPAA

  • Assist remediation planning, governance, and risk treatment activities as required

  • Contribute "best practices" in terms of findings, checklists, templates, testing methods, and techniques to support and advance a "best of breed" Security Assessment program

  • Provide periodic, dynamic updates on security assessment analysis and security posture with an emphasis on deliverables

  • Provide both generalized and discrete input about security standards and policy for IT plans, roadmaps, and prioritization of projects

  • Build an extensive network of positive relationships throughout 3M HIS and its technology organizations to be leveraged to accomplish the broad requirements of this position

  • Promote information security as an enabler of the organization's core business processes

  • Support implementation and enforcement of 3M HIS’ information security programs and policies.

  • Contribute individual skills and experience to advance development of the Risk Management program

  • Escalate urgent security-related issues as required

  • Uphold the maxim of “Accuracy, Consistency, and Alignment” for all deliverables

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two (2) years of IT experience in large, highly-regulated organizations

  • Minimum of one (1) year of IT security experience, in security risk and compliance assessments for applications, infrastructure, or vendor / third parties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced certification in Security (such as CISSP or GSLC) or Audit (such as CISA).

Location: Murray, UT, Silver Spring, MD or Pittsburgh, PA

Travel: 10% domestic travel
