This position is responsible for performing the accounting and analysis for the Company. This includes developing; implementing and/or maintaining one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems. Prepare and analyze financial reports, journal entries, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts. Provide record of assets, liabilities and other financial transitions.

Responsibilities and Duties

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Handles month-end closing activities regarding balance sheet and profit and loss accounts under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS.)

Monitors and reviews postings from the fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, costing and inventory sub-ledgers into the GL.

Reconciles and analyzes balance sheet accounts monthly.

Prepares budget to actual analysis to explain the monthly results.

Prepares monthly sales tax and external reporting package.

Monitor the intercompany process and the reconciliation of the balances, the quality of information and integrity of the sub ledgers.

Continually update company's accounting policies and procedures document to ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls, as well as statutory, legal and tax requirements.

Review work prepared by accounting and other department personnel.

Prepares financial statements, e.g. monthly and quarterly financial reports, weekly forecasts for Management Team summarizing current and projected financial position.

Handles month end, quarter end and year end closing (e.g. balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements).

Assists Controller with (and may be asked to act as liaison) any required reporting by outside agencies.

Produces financial data for management team upon request and assisting with other special Accounting projects as requested.

Handles other related duties as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university

Minimum 4 years of G/L accounting experience with a solid understanding of GAAP accounting

Advanced MS Excel skills including V lookups, pivot tables

Solid analytical skills with an attention to detail

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills able to present clear, well documented findings and recommendations

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
