The Product Support & Logistics Division currently has an opening for a CI New Part Process Project Leader in our Morton, IL facility. The CI New Part Process Project Leader is accountable for ensuring a competitive lifecycle solution for their assigned products, for the parts business results of a product or component group, with focus on improving POPS-C, parts margins, parts inventories and parts material costs. As such, incumbent will develop strategies, which includes NPI, retrofit & Reman solutions to maximize supportability and optimize the parts sales portfolio. This role will collaborate cross-enterprise with process partners to address parts challenges including but not limited to pricing, marketing, inventory & cost reduction.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring the health and profitability of the product group aftermarket parts business

  • Develop strategies for NPI seeding, inventory management, cost reduction, retrofit and Reman to maximize profitability, product supportability and optimize the parts sales portfolio

  • Works across a matrix organization with all process partners to ensure the critical aspects of the parts business are managed and parts challenges are addressed at the product group level

  • Responsible for championing the parts business to the product group and supporting organizations by providing training and strategy leadership

  • Contribute to Parts Annual Business Plan (ABP): Parts margin, parts net sales & transfers

  • POPS Growth: Strategy & growth goals for current products and NPI, further the application of intellectual property, branding, supplier agreements, retrofit, up-grades & Reman for parts growth, execute the NPI process from Gate Way (GW) L through GW7

  • Parts Inventory: Including but not limited to Parts stocking level, service level gaps, past dues, back orders, low volume & non-current parts turns

  • Margin Optimization: Including but not limited to Pricing study definition, cost reduction project definition & execution, negative margin

  • Parts Business Teams & Roundtables: Including but not limited to Engine, Hydraulics, Filters & Fluids, Low volume, etc.

  • Life cycle solution improvements: Including but not limited to customer contracts (CSA, MARC, etc) support, Builder/AMT file validation, repair option development, service efficiency & components improvement, to achieve lowest operating costs

  • Liaison with cross-enterprise partners: Parts-related impacts and decisions

  • Parts Marketing: Sales program initiation through parts marketing and distribution organizations

  • Educate & Coach Product Group team on the Parts business


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3 years of progressively responsible job-related experience in prime/component products

  • 3 years of project management experience

  • Previous NPI or CPI experience

  • Thorough knowledge of company products and product applications, dealer network, merchandising programs, and/or warranty practices and procedures

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions

  • Ability to build strong relationships and work closely with peers and senior level leadership

  • Self-directed and self-motivated with proven results

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral

  • Deep expertise in business acumen, preferably O&E model experience
