Lowe's Associate Relations Advisor in Mooresville, North Carolina

Job Description:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The primary purpose of this role is to investigate non-complex employee complaints/concerns escalated through the Company's open-door process. This includes responsibility for managing complaint intakes and moving complaints across the appropriate channels to ensure their swift and accurate resolution. This role will also handle basic labor relations inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Intake team for all questions from employees, business and HR leaders regarding employee relations issues.

  • Investigates non-complex employee complaints brought forward and ensures compliance to regulatory policies and procedures

  • Assumes ownership for investigative case assignments and monitors the status and progress in the case management system.

  • Maintains required documentation within Lowe's case management system including intake and investigation notes, supporting documents and final reports.

  • Assists consultants complete timely and effective case research to bring complaints to a quick and accurately conclusions.

  • Partners with the ER policy team to create, maintain and update knowledge base articles and company policies in accordance with information gathered from ER cases.

  • Identifies trends in complaint cases to recommend training opportunities that would improve compliance with company policies and organization standards.

  • Handles basic labor relations hotline matters.

  • Reviews and approves all corrective action reports and performance improvement plan documents • Maintains confidentiality of all information contained within all cases.

  • With guidance from the ERD, provides support for the execution of RIFs and other reorganization activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business or equivalent

  • 3+ years Experience in an HR Generalist, Employee Relations or a related role conducting complaint investigations related to Federal, State, Local employment and labor laws for multi-site organization - multi-state, multi-location environment

  • Basic knowledge of workplace complaint investigations, union avoidance, employee advocacy and EEO compliance.

OTHER EXPERIENCE

  • Experience gathering, researching, analyzing and resolving complex employee relations issues (including conduct, performance, and policy violations)

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to establish trust and credibility.

  • Able to work effectively at all levels in the organization.

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish
