The Velocity QA Testing team is looking for an Automation Test Engineer who will work within the FXLM technology group specializing in the development of complex and robust test automation frameworks. The candidate will be experienced working in a fast paced Agile / TDD / BDD environment and be experienced in building test automation solutions, and load tests on an enterprise scale for a FX, Rates and Commodity single dealer trading platform.
The candidate will report into the FX Velocity QA Lead located in Belfast and will involve frequent contact with the Technology and Product leads as well as business users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
The implementation and execution of an automation test framework for functional and nonfunctional testing
Will be actively involved in hands on test case design & development, test case execution, test automation development, reviews of requirements, and other project artifacts.
Quantify and track automation test coverage
Manage, track and report on Automation KPIs
Making the QA team the quality gate before software products are delivered to our clients.
Identify and highlight ways to continuously optimize the way in which QA function operates to create an efficient, scalable team
Work with the business and Production Support to investigate issues and trap defects with automated regression tests.
Knowledge of test automation methodologies and experience of implementing test automation best practices
Knowledge of development tools e.g. TFS, GIT, Bit bucket etc.
The candidate must show a clear understanding of the banking environment, and/or a strong interest in financial markets
Experience of working in Agile development teams
Knowledge of BDD / TDD
Experience of developing, extending and executing test automation frameworks for both functional and nonfunctional tests
Experience of integrating automation tests into the build process e.g. Hudson, Jenkins
Experience of developing stubs and drivers
The candidate should be technically capable and will be expected to have hands-on involvement in managing a QA/UAT test environment
Business domain knowledge of FX, Rates and Commodity Trading E.g. Pricing, Order Execution, and Trading/Auto hedge risk management will be a significant advantage
Experience with high-volume low-latency highly available IT systems, understanding of their architecture and SLAs
Experience of nonfunctional testing including latency and performance testing
Effective and confident communicator with a strong passion for testing & quality

Proficient in industry leading automation test tools e.g. TestComplete, Selenium
Proven track record in successful automation of the testing for large platforms.
