The Trade Processing Services application support group provides technical and business support for Citi’s Fixed Income trade capture system and risk flow (TPS). Products supported include Rates, Credit and Securitized products.

The TPS application is a mission-critical application, providing trade capture and maintenance for Trading, Sales, Middle Office and Operations, encompassing Rates, Credit Derivatives trade and risk flows, Cash Bond trading and Mortgage-Backed Securities.

Job Description

We are seeking a high motivated candidate for the position of Application Support Intermediate Analyst within our TPS Production Support team in Mississauga.

The successful candidate will liaise closely with their colleagues in the New York, Toronto, London, Shanghai and Singapore to ensure 24 x 5 coverage of the application. As a member of the North America Support team – they will be expected to provide on-site cover between the hours or 07:00 and 19:00 EST to cover business start-up and close, and any additional demands of the business. There will be an occasional requirement to provide weekend coverage on a rotational basis to support cycle releases, and participate in disaster recovery testing.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for mission-critical trade capture system.

  • Support all aspects of Derivatives trade and risk flows including trader-sales matching, Markitwire, SDR reporting.

  • Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover.

  • Perform T+0 risk reconciliations.

  • Must be able to escalate problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements.

  • Application monitoring as well as the underlying infrastructure.

  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation.

  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, various internal technology groups and vendors.

  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.

  • Perform post release testing after application releases and infrastructure updates.

  • Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives.

  • Collaboration with Development partners to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.

  • Ensure all productions issues are logged and updated as per the Support team policies and procedures.

  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams.

Qualifications

Essential Skills/Additional Skills (Desirable)

  • Basic Business knowledge/ understanding of financial markets and products.

  • IT/spreadsheet/analytical/modelling skills)

  • UNIX (Solaris/Linux) knowledge and practical usage. (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)

  • Oracle SQL knowledge and practical usage. (Able to create ad hoc SQL queries)

  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail

  • Positive attitude and keen to learn.

  • Good communication and inter-personal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.

  • Experience with Messaging Technologies (TIBCO EMS a plus)

  • Experience with real-time monitoring systems such as ITRS Netagent

  • Job scheduling tool such (e.g. Autosys)

  • Good all-round PC skills. (I.e. Windows OS / Networks / General Hardware)

  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools such as JIRA

  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools.
