Post Holdings Sr Director Planning in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and leads the Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams for the 8 th Avenue organization.

  • Facilitate the effective use, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing of the following key order fulfillment processes: Forecasting, Master Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, Distribution Planning, and Capacity Requirement Planning.

  • Leads team of plant-based schedulers and material replenishers.

  • Develops, implements, and provides ongoing leadership for the 8 th Avenue Sales and Operations Planning process.

  • Collaborates with the Manufacturing and Logistics teams to deliver World Class Customer Service levels.

  • Identify, communicate and implement supply chain cost management opportunities. Track ongoing operations and lead contingency activities whenever deviations outside of agreed upon tolerances are noted.

  • Develops and sets department goals that are aligned with operating company goals and objectives, ensuring metrics are published to the broader business sales and leadership teams

  • Develops and directs continuous improvement initiatives to meet internal operating company goals and customer expectations.

  • Resolves customer supply chain challenges through the coordination of internal and external resources including third party suppliers and vendors

  • Collaborates with sales and supply chain leadership and participants throughout the organization to share and enhance best practices.

  • Serves as the subject matter expert in the area of Planning for M&A support and post-merger integration of both business and ERP processes

  • Promotes a collaborative work environment to ensure low turnover and high levels of employee satisfaction.

  • Other duties as requested by the Senior Leadership team.

  • 20 - 40% Travel Required

  • Planning, Inventory Management/Procurement, Supply Chain Leadership, Engineering or combination of both education and experience

  • 10 years: Progressive Experience in Planning and/or Supply Chain Leadership


  • Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP system
