Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

About the Application Ecosystem Engineering (AEE) Team
The Application Ecosystem Engineering Team, being a crucial part of the UGBU, is developing an ecosystem for products so they could successfully and efficiently deliver and support their software. Some of the areas our team is responsible for are:
Cloud-based containerized microservices infrastructure.
Cloud-based batch job scheduling infrastructure.
Secretes management and authentication/authorization services used by all products.
As part of AEE, you will work with experienced and talented engineers in a friendly
environment. You will design solutions to complex distributed infrastructure problems, ship new code frequently, and see the impact of your work immediately, across the entirety of the engineering organization.
BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Ruby, Python.
Experience working with the following:
o Any kind of Cloud environments like OCI, AWS, Azure, and others.
o Configuration management systems like Chef, Puppet, and others.
o Unix/Linux command line and scripting.
o Docker including Dockerfile and Compose file.
o Large scale monitoring, logging and metrics-tracking using Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, or others.
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
Experience using containers orchestration systems like Nomad, Kubernetes, and others.
Experience in Java stack.
Experience using infrastructure as code with HashiCorp Terraform, and others.
HashiCorp software stack including Vault, Nomad, Consul, Terraform.
Experience using GitOps paradigm.
Experience in Microservices architecture.
Interest and ability to learn and become an expert in any of the topics mentioned above.
Help evolve UGBU ecosystem using cutting edge technologies.
Design and implement new features end to end.
Provide your technical vision in code reviews to reach excellent quality.
Collaborate with other engineers and teams in order to make solve outstanding problems and to make the best decisions.
