The Target RAM is responsible for driving RSi?s adoption and value creation in this exciting andhigh growth program, both with this major retailer partner and the supplier base. This position will develop theprogram further, to create more value for the overall supply chain using specific business processes with benefitfor both Target and the suppliers. The role will apply the opportunity of retailer collaboration and networkeffectively within the CPG?s to make sure we work with the right level of contacts and maximize our impact. TheRAM role must be comfortable in a range of situations; from training teams in key retailer processes, toinfluencing key Retailer Directors on major contract decisions and managing major internal cross-functionalprojects to bring increased value or benefit to the CPG and Retailer teams. This role is located in Minneapolis,MN and reports to the Retail Account Director, Target.
Responsibilities and Duties
User Adoption - Encourage the use of RSi?s software applications through demonstrating the value-added capabilities with the end-users. Users range from supply chain/operations to sales/category management, and in some instances, in store execution teams. Oversee the delivery of the RSi90 day plan, to make sure we get great adoption and manage expectations from the start.
Customer - Networking Management. Create a customer and retailer user base and network of contacts to deliver against the program objectives and the customer contract and making sure we influence as much of the business as possible in a short space of time. Some sales influencing skills very much needed here.
Value Creation - Work with customer teams to identify their key business needs and develop reporting and processes that assist our customers with meeting their goals. Create then apply the current retailer agreed processes with the highest level of return possible. Then finally oversee the measurement of the return on investment through these initiatives.
Engage Cross- Functionally. Drive tactical customer initiatives through cross functional coordination with Customer Success, Engineering, Product Management, Production Operations and Sales by influencing individual contributors within each of the different teams.
Demonstrate Account Management Excellence- Operating across both CPG and Retailer teams to delivery outstanding service to all RSi stakeholders. From the analyst using the software to senior executives who need to understand the value created from the processes.
Qualifications and Skills
Under graduate degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance with relevant entry-level CPG or Retail experience in consulting, supply chain, operations and/or category management.
Three to five years of relative experience in a customer facing data management or analytics role
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, particularly Excel or other data analysis software is a must.
Good presentation, oral and written communication skills.
Project management skills and prior exposure to developing and successfully executing against project plans.
Excellent people skills and ability to build strong relationships with senior contacts in suppliers, while managing multiple suppliers at the same time.
Team-player, positive attitude and flexible.
Experience leveraging software to report on retail point-of-sale and syndicated data (e.g. Neilson and IRI) is favorable.
Experience delivering quantitative insights to address key business problems and measurable ROI .
