Responsibilities Req ID: 50144 Makes observation/collects health status data as delegated by the RN, and reports to RN Completes measurements according to critical elements of policy/procedures Performs personal care/interventions as delegated by the RN according to policy, procedure, and unit routine and patient need Reports immediately to the RN observations/health status data that are not within normal limits for the patient, or are significant Prepare exam rooms and HDR suite for procedures and patient consultations Keep the rooms cleaned and stocked Notify manager or Resource RN that supplies are low Supply linen to treatment areas; keep skin care supplies stocked in treatment rooms Clean and take HDR applicators to Central processing for appropriate sterilization/sanitation procedure Protects patients and self from infectious and communicable disease through proper use of universal precautions Protects patient and self from injury and accidents by maintaining a safe environment and using equipment properly Protects patients and self from injury during transfers, lifts, repositioning and transporting Communicates caring behavior by listening, respecting, and accepting individuality, and by providing care with compassion. Utilizes the Patient's Bill of Rights when caring for patients and families Participates in learning activities and other opportunities for developing and maintaining competence. Uses human and material resources in a cost-effective manner Works with colleagues to create a cohesive environment that supports patient care Education Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant program or one clinical rotation in an RN or LPN program Qualification/Skills Experience 6 months experience in medical surgical nursing in acute or long-term care within the last 3 years or one clinical rotation in an RN or LPN program This qualification may be met by completion of one-year clinical preparation in Registered Nursing Program Skills Clinical competence in all areas of the position description and unit/service competencies Refer to unit/service orientation plan De
