JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary The Sales Account manager supports the base business, and business development efforts of the organization by soliciting and maintaining job contracts from industrial establishments for manufacturing of foundry or machine shop products and by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop sales leads and document prospective customers as sales leads based on information obtained from sources such as: business directories, trade shows, web site, and other sources. Qualify prospects and make persuasive presentations Travels to call on existing and prospective customers or talks with customers by phone to solicit orders. Assist in the investigation of non-acceptable performance and/or actions by the foundry and/or the customer. Interface with customer service team, manufacturing personnel, and shipping on order status and production planning. Work directly with customer purchasing and engineering departments to solicit new project work Enter orders in ERP system and work with planning to establish lead-time. Effectively follow up on orders and make changes to orders as needed. Prior experience with an ERP database is helpful. Must have high level of interpersonal skills. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills Identify complex problems and review related information to develop options and implement solutions.
