WSP USA is currently seeking a Lead Bridge Engineer to join our structural design team! This position can be located in either our Miami or Fort Lauderdale , Florida offices. The Florida Structures Group is part of WSP’s Southeast Structural group that is currently over 50-person strong.

Key Duties:

Leading design and plan development tasks and performing structural analysis and design related to highway infrastructure.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering required

  • 7+ years of experience required within bridge engineering and transportation structure design.

  • Current Florida P.E. registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.

  • Strong technical skills relevant to bridge/structural design and analysis.

  • Manage Plan production related to Bridges and Miscellaneous Structures

  • Experience with Microstation is required. Experience with at least one structural analysis software is required (e.g. LARSA, SAP 2000, StaadPro, LeapBridge, MDX Steel Design, … )

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Structural Engineering preferred

  • FDOT bridge design experience preferred.

  • Experience in work sharing on large, multi-discipline projects preferred.

  • Design-Build project experience preferred.
