Facebook Finance Analyst, Finance and Legal in Menlo Park, California

Facebook is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to support Finance and Legal. In this role, you will be a key contributor in providing financial support and guidance to the business, and manage the full P&L. You need to have basic experience in finance, accounting or investment banking, strong interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Extensive Excel experience and presentation skills are also required. This role is located in Menlo Park, California.
Provide finance technical expertise as a true financial resource to business partners. Build trusted relationships, communicate and coordinate with business partners to ensure the success of the whole team
Own the monthly close process. Submit accrual and reclass journals, perform actuals reconciliation with budget, own the variance analysis and review P&L daily during close periods to ensure financial data accuracy
Own the quarterly forecast process. Forecast and develop long-range strategic plan for headcount, operating expenses and capital requirement. Regularly perform actuals vs. forecast variance analyses
Act as the primary finance reviewer/approver for all PO and headcount requests
Facilitate on-going relationship with recruiting to ensure efficient hiring and headcount tracking
Responsible for all internal and external financial reporting requirement, internal audit control requirements, and corporate finance requirements
Consistently manage and track spend. Create trends and indicator reports to review with business partners and provide insights to future impact. Partner with spend optimization team
Build the bottoms-up budget during the annual planning cycle. Work with key business partners to determine team-specific headcount and expense needs for the following year. Assist in creating Excel templates, budget review presentations, and key analytics for the business
Must be detail oriented and able to work closely with Accounting and Procurement to ensure smooth procure-to-pay processes
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
2+ years accounting or financial experience
Business partnering experience
Communication and interpersonal experience
Software experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle Financials, Hyperion Planning and Essbase
