Applicant will primarily be supporting environmental, safety and health activities as they apply to the assembly, test and checkout, disassembly, troubleshooting, shipping, operations, repairs and replacements of components for aerostat and aerostat ground support equipment in both a shop and field environment. Field environments include those in the continental United States and in overseas locations, which may include war zones. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements and be capable of obtaining and holding a government security clearance.

Additional duties will include limited scope facilities engineering support for manufacturing and office facilities.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate should be proficient with a computer - to include the Microsoft suite of business programs. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be capable of working in a dynamic environment, to include walking in manufacturing areas.

Candidate must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to start.

Desired Skills:

Strong Safety, environmental and DOT expertise in both manufacturing and sustainment operations; Significant experience implementing leading indicator safety programs which drive participation by leadership and employees; Well-rounded ESH person proficient with laser safety, RF radiation and radar systems, machine guarding, fall protection, DOT and hazardous waste; Experience dealing with a military customer - preferably Army; Working knowledge in facilities management and facilities engineering; and experience overseeing safety for deployed employees embedded with military operations in active war zones.
