We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant within the PBFA (“Planning, Budgeting & Financial Analysis”) Central team – Finance in our Melbourne office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.
Your key responsibilities
Support Finance Leaders and Executive Leadership Team in the timely delivery of financial planning & analysis and offer business insights to enable forward-focused decision-making at Oceania region level.
Partnering with various functions in Finance to ensure month-end and year-end close is completed effectively and efficiently to ensure accurate reporting for the firm.
Coordination and active engagement with PBFA Finance teams at Region and Asia Pacific level in the preparation of modelling for annual budget and regular forecasting exercises to ensure tight deadlines are met.
Teaming and coaching of offshore PBFA team member(s) to ensure effective implementation of reporting processes, compliance with EY Global firm policies and service delivery.
Skills and attributes for success
Bachelor Degree in Finance or a related field
Membership of either Chartered Accountants or the Institute of Chartered Practicing Accountants
At least 5 years’ experience in finance related roles
Good analytical skills and some experience in scenario based planning, forecasting and financial modelling
Good accounting skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Advanced Excel skills (experience in using Hyperion Planning Tool and Power BI will be of advantage)
