Raytheon Principal Financial Analyst in McKinney, Texas
Job Description: Based in McKinney, TX and within Surveillance and Targeting Systems (STS), the Principal Financial Analyst will serve as the Finance Lead for the DAS-4 production suite of programs with a current portfolio approaching $500M. The Lead will be responsible for day-to-day planning, implementing and controlling of all financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, earned value, and variance analysis. The Lead will also have the opportunity to demonstrate / develop leadership skills by leading and mentoring another financial analyst supporting the program. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication with good presentation skills and the ability to frame and interpret issues for the finance team; passionate, energetic performer, capable of driving results; strong interpersonal skills and teamwork; and an ability to deal successfully with complexity and ambiguity. Required Skills: Minimum of 6 years financial experience with related Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years with related Master’s degree Candidate must be able to communicate concisely and effectively with all levels of management Experience in program controls Experience with DOD Contract Financing, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis, Pricing and Estimating U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems Desired Skills: External EV reporting experience Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation and execution Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced work environment Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision, self-motivated Working knowledge of SAP, APEX EV, PRISM, Business Warehouse, wInsight and PMX Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines Proactive with demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to identify and quantify risk & opportunities Strong sense of commitment to meeting deadlines Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
