We invite you toexplore a career with our Wesco Aircraft Internal Operations Team.SUMMARY:The Warehouse Associate I is accountable, under directsupervision, to fill customer order requirements with strong team coordinationand follow-through abilities to complete the full cycle of receiving,stock put away, picking, packing, stocking, documenting and shippingcustomized orders, accurately and expeditiously.This fast-paced position consistently requires a high volume ofproductivity; with strong attention to detail to variances in productidentification; ability to accurately understand and follow writtenspecifications; perform data entry; and follow customized requirements, withtrained knowledge of quality standards, and customer specifications.* This position works 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime and Saturday work as-needed); regular/full-time position with benefits; pays $14.00/hr. Primary job duties in Shipping: picking, packing, labeling, banding drums, shipping orders; operating forklifts, working in computer-based warehouse systems; lifting up to 30-40lbs; working in fast-paced environment. Note: this location handles chemical products.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Learn, maintain, and apply accurate knowledge and understanding of Wesco Warehouse work instructions, policies, and procedures in all work practices and decisionsReceive material from vendors and enter data in computerCount and record material to ensure accuracyPull or stock materials using Radio Frequency (RF) scanning system, as requiredUtilize scale to weigh and/or hand count product per warehouse/customer specificationsUtilize label printer to prepare labels as requiredReturn remaining product to proper locationCount, bag, and label per warehouse/customer requirementsPackage and prepare material for shipmentUtilize carrier and third-party shipping system to ship productPerform timely cycle counts and inventory audits to support an accurate inventory management systemCompose paperwork/correspondence, analyze, troubleshoot, and reconcile inventory discrepanciesMeet established standards for quality and productivity, including but not limited to: on-time delivery percentage and customer acceptance ratesFollow safety regulations in all work processes promoting a safe and hazard free work environmentUtilize pallet jacks, drum dollies, drive forklifts, and/or order picker, when trained/certifiedAttend regular and impromptu departmental meetings and company training, as requiredFollow established work procedures to assure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies including: OSHA, FAR, EPA, DOT, and RCRA requirementsObtain cross-training to assist in other Warehouse functions, as neededQualificationsREQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or GED RequiredForklift certification training and current forklift license, is preferred1-2 years general warehousing, inventory control, and/or shipping experience preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills demonstrated in professional...
