Fairview Health Services RN Triage Clinic in Maplewood, Minnesota
The Triage Clinic RN collects information regarding a callers/patients concerns, medical history and description of symptoms via the telephone using the nursing process. Uses symptom-based protocols to systematically assess and address the patient’s needs. Prioritizes calls based on the urgency of the patient’s needs. Provides patient education via the telephone. Carries out assigned nursing tasks and medical orders as delegated by providers or designee to support patient care.
Provides telephone triage by assessing patient's symptoms and carries out follow up plan.
Initiates systematic assessment of patient health status, history and needs.
Processes prescription refill requests promptly and accurately.
Promotes and demonstrates understanding of high quality patient care in the ambulatory care setting.
Triage patient problems and direct care appropriately.
Assists with laboratory, x-ray, EKG, procedures, and treatments as directed by clinician.
Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse with MN Board of Nursing
Registered Nurse with WI Boarding of Nursing
Basic Life Support
