Job Summary:

In this role, the candidate will execute brand-level and product-level eCommerce optimization for a key omni-channel retailer. eCommerce Specialist responsibilities include; optimization of product presence (new item setup, item maintenance, rich content/video uploads, content health assessment), merchandising and demand generation (on/off site marketing, email, first-in-search optimization, price promotions, ratings & reviews) and sales analysis (channel sales recaps, in-stock rates, promotional forecasting). The candidate will have substantial input into future eCommerce plans by delivering metrics and recommendations that help define the go-forward strategy.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for eMerchandising to include:

  • New product launches

  • Page content audits

  • Coordinate sampling program to generate ratings & reviews

  • Utilize additional assets to build rich content (e.g. video, additional images, paragraph copy, etc…)

  • Onsite navigation

  • Product variations

  • Search optimization

  • Brand stores

  • Rich content development

  • Manage 3M product life cycle online for omni-channel retailer including introducing new product assortments to buyers, new item set up, sales analysis and inventory management

  • Works cross-functionally with 3M Sales managers, Shopper Marketing and Product Marketing teams to set online business direction, facilitate account growth and maintain alignment across teams

  • Identify, execute and analyze eCommerce demand generation programs (on time, on budget and meeting accounts expectations)

  • Work closely with Brand Center leadership to drive business strategy, analyze sales, review technology and set best practices

  • Drive understanding of eCommerce impact amongst CBG marketers, sales managers and management through best practice sharing, reports/dashboards and presentations

  • Reconcile duplicate or obsolete product listings to optimize the 3M catalog

  • Work closely with the Brand Center Digital Asset Management team to identify sources of new content and best practices and processes to manage data and assets for eCommerce campaigns and promotions

  • Understand account system capabilities and limitations; propose changes or modifications to leadership to best achieve outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of three (3) combined years of sales, marketing, and/or omni-channel retailer experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with omni-channel retailer

  • Account management, sales planning, account development, business development experience desired

  • Experience analyzing and applying data to make decisions

  • Record of making decisions and implementing change

  • Ability to translate analyses into dashboards, graphics and summaries so the management team is familiar with results

  • Ability to drive strategy and change while implementing, analyzing and reporting on numerous concurrent eCommerce projects

Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel

Relocation: Is not authorized
