Manufacturing Engineer

Permanent position: Leading and growing manufacturer is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer, this role will be located in the Louisville, KY area. The ideal candidate will possess manufacturing engineering experience in a complex machining environment with turning or milling experience, tool design and fixturing experience. if you are looking to work for an organization that reward their employees for performance then this is an opportunity that you may want to consider. Excellent compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $80k to $95k. Excellent relocation package is also available. Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and related functions, researches, develops and improves manufacturing processes, methods and systems for products, facilities, fixtures, tooling, equipment and/or materials

  • Develops and tests work methods and procedures, ensuring performance and quality of materials, products and machines meet specifications and standards

  • Ensures technical outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance and quality requirements are met

  • Applies engineering design and/or analytical theory, principles, techniques and practices to a limited portion of a technical project to include: metals processing, welding, fabrication and/or metal cutting technology

  • Develops and writes technical documentation, makes revisions to existing documentation and provides input to technical papers or presentations

  • Ability to set up, organize and populate manufacturing engineering production information using Microsoft Access, Excel and Project

Requirements for the Manufacturing Engineer

  • CNC machining programming especially with Siemens NX

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in mechanical engineering

  • Proficiency in tooling and fixturing to support CNC machining

  • Ability to optimize or create and document detailed processes to support complex machining environment

  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US
