American Arbitration Association Receptionist in Los Angeles, California
As a Receptionist in our Los Angeles Regional office, you will be responsible for presenting a positive first impression of the Association and providing accurate information through courteous and professional communications with visitors, vendors, clients, and employees, via phone, email, and in person; directs inquiries and visitors to the appropriate destination. This position pays $15 - $18 per hour.

Answers and directs incoming calls to the main reception line, and takes and delivers messages.
Operates the office mail system; open, date stamp, and distribute incoming office mail; prepare packages for UPS pickup.
Greets and announces visitors, and answers routine inquiries.
Meets and greets parties/educational program participants and direct them to appropriate hearing rooms
Maintains the calendar of hearing rooms and process all reservations.
Prepares the hearing rooms for meetings and maintains the general condition and maintenance of the rooms.
Issues appropriate AAA forms and materials as needed.
Keeps the reception area, staff lunchroom, public café and other areas of general use organized and tidy.
Maintains adequate supplies of AAA rules, pamphlets and other materials.
Orders and receive general office supplies and materials.
Photocopies, faxes and files documents.
Assists in data entry, uploading, posting of checks, and other clerical functions.
Education & Experience: High School diploma or G.E.D; and 1 year of relevant experience (i.e. administrative support, receptionist, etc.); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communications Abilities: (Verbal) Expresses oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others; tailors speech to the level and experience of the audience; uses appropriate grammar and choice of words; expresses ideas in a concise, organized manner; maintains eye contact when speaking with others; (Written) Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in writing; tailors written communications to effectively reach an audience; uses graphics and other aids to clarify complex or technical information; spells correctly; writes using concrete, specific language; uses punctuation correctly; writes grammatically.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, arbitrators, mediators or employees of the organization.
Software Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; and proficiency operating a multi-line VOIP phone system.
