TheAssociate Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Givingworks to engage alumni and secure financial support from alumni and friends of the Price School to meet the School’s ongoing list of priorities.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of External Affairs and Development, the Director will play a critical role in building and sustaining programs that maintain meaningful relationships with alumni and donors that are of critical importance to the School.
This is a high profile position requiring a strong entrepreneurial spirit, an ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff and outside constituencies, an ability to be flexible and seize opportunities as they develop, and proven fundraising ability.
Primary areas of development focus include:
Works with Associate Dean of External Affairs and Development and other members of the Price development team to engage Price alumni for life, building a culture of philanthropy among Price members of the Trojan Family.
Personally cultivates and solicits alumni to support School programs and initiatives.
Manages and builds the School’s active Alumni Board, and works to serve as a representative voice for all alumni.
Works collaboratively with the University’s Alumni Affairs to identify and engage alumni with interest in Price programs.
Works with Price Communications to manage content and membership of Price Connect, an online networking platform for students and alumni.
In collaboration with the Associate Dean of External Affairs and Development and other development team members, develops solicitation strategies to raise support through telephone, direct mail, email and digital efforts.
Develops and manages an annual giving program for the School, including identifying strategic priorities and using annual giving data to inform outreach and opportunities for growth.
Works with Price staff and faculty to identify and develop content and impact stories that will encourage donor support.
Works collaboratively with USC annual giving programs to represent the Price School’s academic, research and development priorities.
Oversees and manages the School’s stewardship program, providing ongoing recognition and engagement with donors who have made financial contributions to the School.
Working with the Associate Dean of External Affairs and Development, and other members of the School’s development team, devises an annual program of donor stewardship that includes visits, impact reports, and other communication that provides ongoing connection to the School, our work and mission. Manages the School’s ongoing relationships with SEO Scholars and ELARA.
Represents Price at meetings and events, serving as an ambassador for the school to the greater USC community.
Serves as a collaborative member of the School’s development team, actively participating in events, programs and other activities that support the School’s overall development and engagement priorities.
Collaborates with USC counterparts to cultivate alumni, friends and donors of Price and USC.

IDEAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
3-5+ years’ progressive experience in fundraising or constituent relations for a university, school, hospital or nonprofit.

Excellent data management skills
Fluency in social media and other communications mechanisms
