The opportunity:

The Process Control Systems Administrator is responsible for the process control network and node security health, troubleshooting, upgrading, development, and optimization. The Process Control Systems Administrator must be a self-motivated individual who strives for excellence in 1) safety, 2) protecting the environment, and 3) continually improving mill operations.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Manage and optimize the Process Control network and node security, including router access, patches, antivirus, physical security, backups and restores, etc.

  • Manage and optimize the Process Control networks, servers, and workstations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, development, upgrades, and new installs.

  • Assist Engineering, Maintenance and Operations in Process Control system and network design and optimization.

  • Manage information flow across the Process Control network.

  • Provide system administration scripting and other user support and training as needed.

  • Work to continuously improve the operations and management interface.

  • Responsible for completing additional Process Control objectives as opportunity allows.

  • Work closely with the Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Technical, Environmental, Accounting and

  • Information Systems departments to accomplish these duties safely and securely while maximizing operational efficiency.

What you need to succeed:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant IT degree

  • Commitment to Safety -- must be able to identify safety improvement opportunities

  • Project Management skills

  • Problem Solving and Decision Making skills

  • Working knowledge of Windows and Unix system administration, and networking administration (Cisco/Enterasys)

  • Ability to read and interpret network drawings/schematics

  • Familiarity with the architecture and capabilities of machinery and process controls systems including: Foxboro I/A,

  • Honeywell, SCADA systems, Allen-Bradley and other Programmable Logic Controllers and associated networking
