Compliance and Standards Director
Franchise is core to all Mastercard business: we enable our business by licensing our customers, registering third parties in the payments ecosystem, and creating, modifying, and enforcing standards that govern participation in the system. Franchise Architecture and Standards manages the operating rules and standards that allow Mastercard and our customers to offer safe and convenient ways to pay in more than 210 countries and territories around the world. As technology accelerates the introduction of new and innovative ways to shop, pay, and send money, the Franchise Architecture and Standards team is responsible for ensuring that Mastercards Franchise adapts in a way that enables these solutions while preserving the integrity of our brands and network.
The Director of, Franchise Architecture and Standards, will be responsible for the management of three key areas of the Zapp/PbBA Program operation.
Manage the ongoing collation, formatting and publication of all Program Documentation
Liaise with stakeholders, to ensure all essential documents are reviewed, revised and updated
Organize document peer review sessions as required
Liaise with Legal, to ensure Commercial Documentation complies with the Program Rules and any applicable regulatory requirements
Liaise with Technical Publications, to ensure an accurate and accessible library of essential documents is maintained
Maintain a library of all Program Documentation
Maintain a library of all Program internal guides, policy and process documents
Assess and monitor all variance requests received from Participants
Undertake monthly reviews of all outstanding variances (with Product)
Undertake assessment and due diligence reviews of all potential Participant applications against Program Eligibility Criteria
Undertake annual assessments, to ensure Participants remain compliant to the Eligibility Criteria
Undertake risk reviews (on behalf of Finance) prior to payment of fees to Participants
Monitor Participant performance to ensure ongoing compliance to Program Rules and operating standards
Manage Program Compliance Program (based on the Category and Severity of noncompliance)
Provide Compliance Program awareness and training sessions to Participants and staff
Assess fees related to noncompliance matters and liaise with Finance to ensure that Participants are correctly billed
All about You
Thorough understanding of the governance and operating structure of a payments network (5+ yrs)
Thorough, meticulous and analytical approach
Ability to think logically and process information with a high degree of accuracy
Proactive work ethic, with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines
Experience gained in financial services and/or the online payments industry, preferred
Excellent documentation, report writing and presentation skills
Excellent communication skills
