Bentley Systems Strategic Account Manager in London, United Kingdom

Position Summary:

We have the ideal opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager who will develop and execute campaigns for generating and driving new business.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Develop sales strategies, account plans and innovative prospecting plans specific to the assigned region, industry and accounts that will ensure annual sales revenue goals are consistently exceeded.

  • Develop relationships at various levels, including C-level within a given account using proven direct sales techniques, including the effective use of leading edge social selling techniques and tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Promptly follow up on leads generated from corporate websites, trade-shows, seminars, and collaborative sourcing efforts.

  • Proactively work on developing unsolicited proposals, which are focused on driving the accelerated acceptance and value recognition of “Digital Twins”

  • Develop and manage a strong, robust, predictable sales pipeline, forecasting business weekly, monthly and quarterly.

  • Negotiate and implement approved sales or service contracts.

  • Schedule and effectively engage technical colleagues to undertake product demonstration or other technical needs in assisting and closing sales to meet revenue goals.

  • Adhere to the Bentley Sales Process(BSP) fully utilising SAP Cloud for Sales (CFS) as a daily sales tool and reporting system to manage contacts, leads, all sales prospecting activities, opportunities and forecasting requirements.

  • Periodically attend national and regional tradeshows/conferences/industry events

  • Maintain and submit weekly activity reports, reporting on weekly sales activities as directed by sales management.

  • Maintain a high degree of up to date knowledge and expertise to ensure effective promotion the company's commercial offerings, solutions and services.

  • Be prepared to consistently work on perfecting the art of selling and be fully receptive to embracing a feedback culture, with a strong bias towards continuous learning and personal development.

  • Manage by influence ensuring full alignment and effective collaboration with other teams in Bentley, which are critical to help ensure your personal success and the overall success of the team.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering preferred.

  • B2B software sales experience required.

  • Excellent track record of establishing strong internal/external relationships and meeting/exceeding yearly quota.

  • Excellent problem solving in technical understanding of the account’s requirements & challenges.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Like working with workflows and processes.

  • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Capacity to interact effectively and professionally with broad spectrum of diverse employees, customers and partners.

  • Self-motivated with proven ability to plan and execute effective prospecting initiatives and sales strategies.

  • Experience with CRM systems as well as Microsoft Office is required.

  • Fluent English language skills required for this role.
