We are seeking a London-based senior reporter to cover legal issues surrounding corporate crime and compliance in the U.K. This reporter will write regular news analyses and features, contextualizing major court rulings and criminal and civil enforcement actions, as well as civil fraud disputes and internal investigations. This reporter will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the beat and a reliable roster of sources.
At least two years of paid, full-time reporting experience, preferably at a daily publication
Experience covering corporate crime strongly preferred
Demonstrated reporting, writing and organizational skills
Exceptional news judgment and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently in shaping a beat
Must be able to build sources and regularly enterprise stories
Experience in covering legal or regulatory affairs
Experience in covering business news
