Dow Jones EUS Projects Engineer in LONDON, United Kingdom
The EUS Projects Engineer plays a key role in implementing planned IT projects such as setup for new or reorganized office spaces or to setup/configure equipment. With some supervision, they help ensure that end users will be able to connect to the network and all hardware, especially AV equipment, is up and running. The EUS Engineer can handle moderately complex setup tasks but refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Depending on project schedule and planning, we will ask our Projects team to support our users, specifically executives with special requests.
Other responsibilities include:
Work with key vendors who supply our equipment as necessary
Collaborate with local facilities departments
Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the company’s business plans and organization, including key users of technology and their needs.
Keep abreast of trends in technology and its application to understand current best practices, possible alternative solutions and to support problem solving.
Plan, prioritize, and provide vision and schedules for assigned AV or other hardware changes.
Adhere to all company authored policy, procedure and standards documents.
Support News Corp C-Suite executives
Manage own time to fulfill tasks efficiently, in the correct priority and to the required level of quality, within the context of the objectives supplied by manager.
Own and progress incidents and requests with other Technology teams, on the customer’s behalf.
Manage high impact incidents affecting the technology systems and environments.
Document actions, alterations and procedures to ensure an accurate and accessible record of the current state of the system.
