Applications Senior Principal Engineer needed by STMicroelectronics, Inc. in Livonia, MI to provide technical support for design and development of customer applications in the telecom security eco-system. Provide SIM roadmaps, educate customers about ST secure products and promote to all relevant customers. Develop and design SIM card operating systems utilizing end to end system architecture knowledge from networks to mobile devices to smart cards, applications, mobile phone baseband interfaces and network infrastructure specific to SIM servers. Analyze market requirements and interpret to translate to RD and local application groups. Manage customer expectations. Contribute to interpretation of GP (Global Platform) standards and design specifications. Design and optimize memory management layers for ETSI/3GPP compliance. Integrate CDMA authentication algorithms using security algorithms including MD5 and SHA1. Integrate 2G/3G authentication modules using Comp128 and Milenage Algorithms. Manage all stakeholders for NFC and SIM device across all variants of MNO mobile platforms (Phones, Tablets, PCs, Wearables, IoT end nodes). Able to debug SIM baseband interfaces, understand wireless network technologies and interface with IOT/M2M segments. Provide high level design architecture and solution roadmap information to RD and local application groups. Define and execute technical strategy to grow the telecom business by analyzing and reacting to industry changes, standard evolution. Assist sales staff and regional market development in obtaining Design ins of relevant solutions by aligning company products with customer need. Translate customer needs into product specifications. Support sales, regional market development and customer directly by interpreting pre and post-sale design, application, and service information into presentation collateral for all relevant market sub segments (automotive, smart industry, smart city, smart things, etc.). Provide program management of custom product developments including product specification, application development, network and server integration, device testing, interoperability testing, standards certifications, customer installations, delivery and quality of final solutions. Provide input to define and modify manufacturing and delivery processes effect mobile network operators.
