Interested in joining us as a Systems Engineer ? If so, you will be leading the Electrical Power System (EPS) design with responsibilities that include:

• EPS Systems Specification and ICD maintenance

• Evaluation of design and requirements verification

• Pedigree and quality documentation closure, leading failure review teams to closure, vetting critical tests and analyses

• Participating in status reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)

• Certifying the EPS System components are qualified and certified for End Use service

• Leading a technical group

• Working with the subcontractor technical and management staff to ensure that any issues are resolved as efficiently as possible and to minimize impact to the production flow, whether production is in house or subcontracted

In this position you will become the expert on the subsystem and provide the technical and risk assessments for power generation, regulation and energy storage/transfer systems performance.

You will work with Stakeholders (LM / customer domain experts and subcontractor staff) throughout the Design Review and Verification and Sell Off processes, as well as coordinate Stakeholder comments and lead closure of Action Items and Liens.

Familiarity with failure investigation processes, Material Review Board processing, discrepancy documentation and resolution is critical in this role.

While you don't need to be in a current CPE position, you should become certified within a reasonable time and be willing to technically understand the components used within the power subsystem and work to deliver them to I&T in a timely fashion, as well as take be active in resolving any issues with components delivered.

Some travel may be required.

You will typically have 9 - 15 years of professional experience for this role.

If selected, you will need to obtain a Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience for similar job responsibilities.

• Demonstrated experience related to the design, integration and verification of Electrical Power generation and regulation systems.

• Person with current or past CPE assignment or equivalent (Sub Systems Lead)

• Demonstrated communication skills for presenting status weekly and in larger customer reviews.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledgeable in multiple satellite/missile subsystems.

• Familiarity with LMSSC CPE Program and other engineering processes and disciplines.

• Experience in power simulation tools Saber, PSPICE, or equivalent.

• Possess and demonstrate excellent analytical skills.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage processes and influence others without direct-report authority

• Must be adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems.

• Experience in the development and Acceptance Test / Buy-off of Power Generation and Regulation Systems end items.

• Understanding of Electrical or Electronics theories and principles

• Demonstrated skills in leading a team.
